It's time once again to check out the latest and greatest of your local boating action on the big screen!

Oct. 10th - Mt. Tabor Legacy (4811 SE Hawthorne)
Show @ 8:00 -- 21+ Only -- No Cover

VIDEOGRAPHERS!

$250 cash prize!

Gather all the footage you have and put together a sweet video. Funny, gnarley, hairboating, playing, roadtripping, and otherwise awesome videos filmed by any PDXkayaker are eligible for a cash prize. Due at Next Adventure by Oct. 1st. This deadline is absolute this year!

Up to 15 minutes long.
Must be a mini-dv tape.
Anything whitewater or water related is good enough! IK's, hardshell, rafting, even seakayaking.
You'll have to sign a release for the party.
Judging by some random PDXkayakers will include editing, music/sound, and just plain old fun!
Video must have an intro title.
Include your name, email, and phone number with your disc when you submit it so we can be in touch.
Have fun with it!

This will be another all-out good times night, so be there early.

All raffle proceeds will be donated to a good cause to be determined soon!

Also if you'd like to volunteer to help out, that'd be appreciated! We're looking for folks to help with the raffle, at the door, setting up, and in general running around helping kick this thing off! Email kayaks@nextadventure.net

JUDGES!

YOU can be a judge at the Next Adventure PDXkayaker Film Festival!

This year we're trying something different (again!). We hope to announce the winners this year the same night of the Festival, so we're asking for a few PDXkayaker's to help in the judging before the Festival. Write to us why YOU should be part of the Academy, and send it to theacademy@pdxkayaker.org. Ten will be randomly chosen. Due by Sept. 22th.

Why? Have fun with this! And get some schwag and other untold riches the night of the festival! We'll also be wining and dining you the night of the judging (Oct. 12th).

Some requirements:

You can't also submit a video.
You can be creative, funny, inspirational, cool, etc. with your "application". It might help.
Beginners, old hats, and everyone in between should apply. We want a little bit of the whole community of PDXkayaker involved!
You must be available the night of Oct 12th to participate in the judging (one week before the Festival).
Unfortunately, 21+ only, as we also want you to enjoy the Festival!
